Services
Most of our clients purchase a complete Training Package relating to a specific installation or plant. This will consist of a system specific Training Manual, a Handbook, an Interactive CD, Training courses and a Learning Management System.
However, individual training package components, for example just the Learning Management System, may be purchased if required.

Training Manuals and Handbooks
Training Manuals developed by TechTrain are usually client system specific. They describe in easy to read text how a system functions and include high quality graphics/illustrations. Systems are illustrated using colour drawings based on the client's project Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's) – see example below. These illustrations/drawings utilise a degree of scaling so that the trainee can easily differentiate between piping sizes. The use of colour permits the trainee to understand the routing of particular fluids.

More complex system vessels are illustrated by way of scaled colour cross sections showing flow routings.
System descriptions can be prefaced by associated technology in order that the trainee can fully appreciate how a piece of equipment functions. For example, when considering Oil and Gas Separation a brief review of phase behaviour technology is presented so the trainee can understand the consequences of Separator pressure variation.
All Training Manual P&ID based illustrations can be reduced to A6 size, plasticised and included in a small ring binder for ready reference in the field by the plant operators.
Interactive CD's
All Training Manuals that we currently compile are also presented in CD format. The CD runs on PC industry standard software and uses extensive hyperlinking for ease of navigation and a notebook icon feature. This latter feature permits an individual to make his own relevant notes about his system experiences.
Training Courses
Training Courses are mainly presented at a client provided location – TechTrain can provide facilities if required. Courses vary in duration significantly. Overview/Refresher Courses may be only a day or two and detailed Systems Courses may last two weeks or more. Courses are presented in English, however, selected training material can be translated into any language if necessary. The typical Course teaching day commences at 08.00/09.00 and concludes at 16.00/17.00. Teaching consists of 45 to 60 minute sessions depending on the English language capabilities of the trainees. Question and exercises are utilised throughout the teaching day to ensure the trainee fully comprehends the subject matter.
